INVASIVE PLANT SURVEY TEAM

Once again, under the direction of Bruce Fenn volunteers representing the Invasive Plant Survey Team will meet to survey Great & Long Ponds public boat ramps.  Working with members of the Belgrade Regional Conservation Alliance’s Milfoil Committee, this is the seventh year Bruce has organized and implemented the surveys which have now become part of the Belgrade Lakes Association’s “Early Detection Program”.

The length of the survey varies based on the number of native plant communities that need to be surveyed as well as the number of volunteers who participate in the event.  Based on previous experience, the surveys are usually completed in 2 to 3 hours.
